- Abstract
To study grip strength of dominant hand in various body postures in the age group of 20-50 years. Objectives: To measure and compare the grip strength of dominant hand in supine,sitting and standing positions in the age group of 20-50 years. Result: From the results of our study it can be concluded that standing with shoulder adducted and neutrally rotated with elbow flexed to 900 and forearm in supination with wrist extended can be recommended as the standard posture and position for measuring hand grip strength of Indian adults between the age group of 20-50 years.
