KJSCOP library has provided spacious & comfortable air conditioned reading room facility for the students.
Students can use reading room for current reading, from 09.00 am to 6.00 pm
Books on different subjects related to physiotherapy, are stacked in the cupboards.Students are allowed to see books from cupboards.Library has open access system whereby students are allowed to select books based on their preferences
Every user gets an auto e-mail for issued books before due date and after due date. Through these reminders, user come to know the book's due date and they can renew books online by using reference link.
Internet & Wifi facility has been provided in the library. They can use the internet to access email,e-journals,and e-resources. Institute also provides every user their own intenet login credentials(SVV Net ID) to access Wifi. User can use their credentials at two places at a time(i.e mobile & laptop).Students get the Wifi credentials at the same time when they get their identity cards.
Students and faculty can borrow books from any libraries under Somaiya group under Global Common Circulation(GCC Policy). All Somaiaya users will be able to borrow one book at a time for 7 days from any of the institutional library under Somaiaya group.
Book Bank facility is given to the need and meritorious / promising students selected by the library committee.In this facility a set of textbooks would be issued to the students who want to avail this facility.The books were issued for one academic year, free of cost.The objective behind this scheme is to provide books to those students who are not able to buy expensive textbooks mentioned in the syllabus related to physiotherapy.This scheme aims for upliftment of those students who are in need & from weaker section.
MUHS Book Bank scheme is sponsored by MUHS,where 100% grant come from MUHS,Social Welfare Department,Nashik.According to this scheme,a set of textbooks required as per syllabus will be made available to the students for a particular academic year,free of cost.Depending as per the availability of the books,the priority will be given to those students are from lower income category.Students have to apply in the prescribed format to avail this facility. KJSCOP book bank facility is sponsored by K.J.Somaiya College of Physiotherpy, where 100% grant received from KJSCOP itself. According to this scheme a set of textbooks required as per syllabus will be made available to the students. Students can avail this facility depending on the availability of the books under KJSCOP book bank library. Students have to pay 50% of the total cost of the book, from which 10% of the book cost will be retained as the processing charge and 40% of the book cost will be refunded to the students upon the return of books.Application forms are available in the library.For more details students can contact the Librarian.
